Blessed Adele de Batz de Trenquelleon, foundress of the Marianist Sisters, was beatified June 10, 2017. To commemorate this event, prayer cards, flyers, and outdoor banners were created. The icon of Blessed Adele came from the Sisters, the colors are from that icon, and the pattern is of quatrefoils common in European churches before, during, and after Blessed Adele’s time.
The property of Mount St. John, owned by the Marianist Brothers and Priests, has multiple Marianist ministries on it along with hiking trails, a prairie, and many trees, flowers, and other plants. Keeping all this in mind, the solution was having the banners seem more organic and be a part of the property’s beautiful scenery.
